The new truck

Well, we've talked about this for a looong time, and the day has finally arrived. On Feb 22 at about 4pm Clinton brought home the new truck. But this isn't just any truck. It was bought for the soul purpose of evangelizing! There was a flurry of excitement as he pulled up. Clinton, Colton, and Chase had been working on making boxes for the back of the truck for two weeks. There was a real anticipation to see if they would fit. As they were putting them into the cab of the truck you could almost here a drum roll...............................THEY FIT!! With deep sighs, we were so relieved! Sunday was spent painting the boxes, although, sadly enough I don't have pictures of it. Mike Bailey, a fellow missionary and friend, was in town visiting and really wanted to bless the team by painting the boxes. So he bought the paint and he and his intern began to paint the boxes. They painted them a beautiful chocolate brown. Then on Monday, Feb 26 the topper was put on with an A/C unit installed too. We were sooo excited to see it. The whole team was here waiting to see the "finished" product. And to our surprise, it was much bigger and more roomy than we could have imagined! It is just perfect for what we are going to use it for. No early tomorrow morning at 4am Clinton and the team will be leaving for Bangkok and then to the mountains. There's a team in Bangkok that has trucks like this and has experience in rigging them out with sound equipment, speakers, a sound board, etc.... So they will spend a few days there and then head to the mountains to show the film. It is a very exciting time and we feel like the purchasing of this truck has some prophetic significance, a kind of moving forward. Enjoy the pictures!

The boxes fit!!

Clinton and the boys built these boxes themselves. They went to the Toyota dealership about 3 times and measured the back of the truck. So today was the day to actually see if they fit.............AND THEY DID!!! Posted by Picasa

About 6 feet deep

As you can see Brian is lieing down in the back of the truck. Brian is 6ft. 4in.... so there's plenty of room in the back to stretch out Posted by Picasa

Rear view of truck

This is a look into the inside of the back of the truck. That middle piece folds down so that there's leg room if sitting. This also serves a bed and great storage space. Posted by Picasa

Is this a beauty or what?
