Houston Zoo- America part 4

I couldn't visit Texas and not take my children to the Houston Zoo. It's one of my favorite memories from when we lived there pre-Thailand days. However, this day was the hottest day on record in 50 years for that particular day!! It was blazing HOT!!!!

Cayden loves animals!! I mean loves them. Sometimes it's hard to tell. He likes to hold our animals by the neck or puts his whole body on top of them as a sign of affection. The animals are trying to get away for their dear life. When they see him coming, they run, bark, or hide...... hahahaha but he pursues them until he overtakes. They're all so sweet to endure his torturous love. They tolerate him. 

 The zoo is seriously one of his very favorite places to visit.  So when we got to the petting zoo part, he was super excited!!!! We don't have a petting zoo in Thailand. However, Daddy had to give him a good talking to before he went in. We didn't want one of the animals biting him or ramming him with their horns. ; )

I think this animal might like him. Look at that face!

  These are our dear friends and also the Pastors of Fire Church. We were able to stay with them when we were in NC. We had a blast! Thanks Scott and Beth!

  This is Brittney Pricer. She's been a friend of the boys since they were 6 years old. Her parents lived four houses down from us at Bible school They are missionaries in Mexico.

Heading back home

We're in the states right now for furlough, but will be heading back to Thailand on Aug.21. We are really excited to be getting back home with our team and friends there. Clinton has been working 12 to 15 hours a day trying to get his mother's new house ready to move in. He's so proud.....he pulled all the carpet and sanded, stained and polyeurithaine(sp?) the floors. They are gorgeous! This was his first time to do this but they turned out just beautiful. We painted the whole house and are in the process of replacing all the trim and rehabing the laundry room. Please pray for us as we have many things that have to be done in the next two weeks with very little time to get them done. Also pray for grace as we are working very hard to get things in the house ready.

  We had a mini family reunion for Clinton's birthday. lft to rt... Me, Scarlett(my sister), Julie, James, Jerry and Aunt Dee Ann. (Julie and Jerry are Aunt Dee Ann's children.

  We had the opportunity to go to Winter Haven, Fl. a few weeks ago. The people that we stayed with, the Stubenrauchs, Brian's parents, live right on Lake Eloise. So, we went out all day on a Saturday. We had a blast!
