Mother's day out
Today is the first day our little Joseph will be in "mother's day out." I never realized how precious my time was until I didn't have it anymore......
Candy my doctor friend, who lives two streets over from me, has a nanny that cleans her house and takes care of her two year old while Candy's at work. Candy asked me recently if I would want to bring Joseph over to play with her daughter one day a week and Ba Sien would watch the both of them. I was like, "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? What a wonderful idea." So today is the first day for Joseph to go and play. You should have seen his little face when I told him we were going over there to play! He was so excited. He's my most social child of the 5. He and Colton run a pretty close race. He loves to interact with other people and was sooo happy to go and play today.
So now I finally have time to post something on my blog and write some emails! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I'm sure many of you thought that I was throwing in the towel. But never fear.....I'm back!
I hope you're getting ready for the spring! I just love spring!! Although we don't have one here in Thailand, I'm acting as if we do. I have pink everywhere and decided to decorate my blog with the spring theme as well. Hope you like the new layout.
lots of love,

A New Day
It's been forever since I've posted anything. Life took a turn that none of us expected but God has graciously brought us through! I can honestly say that our family and our marriage is better than it was before the loss. Although we don't have spring in Thailand, I feel like spring is in the air. I feel a freshness... a newness! God has restored to us so much. Our pastors from Fire came to visit us and brought so much healing, wisdom and comfort. It was an amazing 5 days and we are so grateful to them.
I think I've written that He gave us a new house right in the midst of our pain. This was a huge blessing and a very needed change! We are still working in the village and very connected there, we are just living 20 min away. All of us love our house! There's so much room to move around and for everyone to have their own space. The older boys thought they would go nuts not having a place to play their guitars and the little boys thought they would go nuts not having any space to play with their toys.
Taking on three new children brought on many challenges. It's taken us quite some time to figure out a rhythm, but God has brought so much wisdom. Judah and Bank are in school all day. They leave the house at 8 and arrive home about 4:30. Colton leaves at 8 as well, but he's back home at 1 to do his homeschool. We're on the home stretch with him. We only have a few more months and he'll be finished with his home education. We're praying what God has in store for him after this.
Chase and the baby are home with me all day. It's taken a lot of getting used to having a toddler again. But we're doing okay. We're coloring, playing cars, watching movies, helping mommy cook, wiping snotty noses, dirty high chairs, and dirty bottoms! ; ) I forgot how much work one two year old can be.
I'm going to be posting some random pictures over the last few months. I hope you enjoy. I'll prayerfully be posting more often with many more pictures.
I've posted a few pictures of me with a new hair color. I did it a dark chestnut color....we think we like it. ; )
the last picture is after a day at the waterfall. All three boys are passed out! And the other two boys were in the back of truck passed out too.
Thank you for your love and support.
Amber
