So much to tell!

It's Friday night and the baby's sleeping. I'm fiiiinally getting to write on my blog. I've been thinking about writing almost everyday. I finally realized what keeps me from writing..... sometimes when there's so much going on, I get overwhelmed and don't know where to start. You'd think that would be easy, right. Start with the first things first. But in my complex brain, it's not that easy. ; )

Anyway, I want to write tonight about two things tonight

1. My wonderful, awesome, precious, loving giving mother-in-law (mother) bought me my dream camera!!!!! Clinton came home with a Nikon D3100 SLR camera!!!!!!! I even got the extra lens that's 55mm to 200mm.

I can't even tell you how excited I am about this new camera!!!!!! I think my blog will really get exciting now. I've been wanting one of these for sooooooooo long. I've dreamed of having on and blogging and putting beautiful pictures to go with my posts. WELL! now that dream can become a reality. You'll have to be patient with me as I'm learning to use it, but it will be fun in the process. ; )
I'm trying to take pics everyday and work with new and different elements on the camera. I'm also reading a fellow bloggers blog about her picture taking tips and tricks. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!

2. My day today

We started off at a jok and noodle shop. We love eating jok for breakfast! Joseph was rejoicing the whole way there reminding us about 100 times how much he loooooooooooved to eat jok. Once we got there he wanted to pick the table where we sat...he was scouting the table that had the morning cake on it. Then it dawned on me why he was sooooooo excited! He remembered that this shop has pound cake(or the equivalent)

This was my breakfast...jok (boiled rice with pork and egg). I know! You're thinking, gross! I wouldn't eat that if it was the last thing on earth to eat. But let me assure you, it's wonderful. It has a creamy consistency with just the right salty flavor to it.

This was Clinton's breakfast, noodles with fish balls and roasted pork and lost of veggies. You can see he spiced his up with dried peppers and the orange you see is peppers that have been soaked in vinegar. His was actually better than mine this morning. I was very tempted  to eat his. His drink is a lemony iced tea, however, let me assure you it's VERY different from anything you've ever drank!

This was ONE OF THOSE moments!! and I can't believe I caught it! I don't even need to explain this photo. I think it speaks for itself!

This is a fruit cart that you can find on almost any street corner in our city. One piece of fruit costs $.35. This fruit is so fresh, cold and yummy. They filled the bottom of the glass container to make the fruit cold. Soooo good. If you're ever in my neck of the woods I'll treat you.

We ended our day visiting Thak, our friend and Thai co-worker. She had a nasty accident on her motorcycle that has resulted in surgery. They had to put a metal rod in her arm right under her elbow. She's staying in a government hospital with 30 people to a room. She's handling it like a champ!!

Well, that concludes my pictorial..... threre was much more to the day but unfortunately I didn't capture all of it on camera. I made a yummy stuffed shells with red sauce! It was so yummy my husband at 12 of them!!

Signing off now. I'll write tomorrow about Cayden Truth's birthday and post some pics. If you can believe it he's already a year!!!

Love
Amber~

  3. Are you TRYING to torture me, Amber??? lol I'm just glad you didn't post a picture of cashew chicken. Talk about cravings lately!

I had no idea P'Thak had to have surgery! I heard about her accident and her ridiculous visit to the ER but nothing more. Please give her BIG hugs for me and tell her that I wish I was there to help.
